WARDENSEED - PRIVACY POLICY
Effective Date: May 20, 2026 Version: 1.0
This Privacy Policy explains how Wardenseed collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the Platform. It is intended to meet common transparency expectations in the United States, the European Union (including GDPR), and other jurisdictions where users may access the service.
Wardenseed is an indie Web3 game and collectible ecosystem. We minimize off-chain personal data collection: we do not run KYC, we do not require a phone number, and we do not use aggressive advertising tracking. Wallet-linked play is optional but, when used, wallet addresses may be treated as personal data under certain laws.
1. WHO THIS POLICY APPLIES TO
This Policy applies to anyone who accesses or uses Wardenseed websites, game clients, APIs, dashboards, marketplace surfaces, wallet-connected features, or related services (collectively, the Platform).
If you do not agree with this Policy, you must discontinue use of the Platform.
2. INFORMATION WE MAY PROCESS
Depending on how you use the Platform, Wardenseed may process the following categories of information:
2.1 Account and identity data
- Wallet addresses (including addresses you connect or verify via Sign-In with Ethereum)
- Optional username or profile fields you choose to provide
- Session identifiers, authentication tokens, and account linkage metadata
- Records of terms acceptance, including version, timestamp, and technical request metadata where logged for legal compliance
Wallet addresses may be treated as personal data under certain jurisdictions, including in the European Union under the GDPR, because they can be associated with an identifiable individual when combined with other data.
2.2 Gameplay and product data
- Realm and simulation state (trees, seeds, resources, progression, chronicle events)
- In-game economic balances and ledger entries (e.g., Essence, SEEDOS) as maintained in our application layer
- Marketplace listings, trades, and gameplay actions you initiate through the Platform
- Preferences, feature flags, and interface settings stored on your device or server-side where applicable
2.3 Technical and security data
- IP address, approximate region or country (where provided by infrastructure headers)
- Browser or device type, operating system, language, and user-agent string
- Request logs, error reports, crash diagnostics, rate-limit signals, and fraud-prevention indicators
- Timestamps and operational telemetry needed to keep the Platform reliable and secure
2.4 Support and communications
- Messages you send to Wardenseed support channels
- Email address only if you voluntarily provide it (for example, when contacting support or subscribing to updates we offer)
2.5 Blockchain and public ledger data
On-chain transactions are public by design.
When you interact with blockchain networks, information such as wallet addresses, token transfers, NFT mints, marketplace fills, governance actions, and settlement proofs may be recorded permanently on public distributed ledgers and indexed by third-party explorers.
Wardenseed cannot modify, erase, or control public blockchain records after they are confirmed. Third-party indexers may retain copies independently of Wardenseed.
3. WHAT WE GENERALLY DO NOT COLLECT
Wardenseed is designed to avoid unnecessary personal data collection. Unless you voluntarily provide it or law requires it, we generally do not collect:
- Government-issued identity documents or KYC packs
- Phone numbers for mandatory account verification
- Payment card data processed directly by Wardenseed (on-chain payments are handled by your wallet and network)
- Aggressive cross-site advertising identifiers or sale of personal data to data brokers
Your privacy posture may still depend on how you use wallets, browsers, and third-party services outside our control.
4. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use information described in this Policy to:
- operate, maintain, and improve the Platform and game systems;
- authenticate sessions and link wallet identity where you choose wallet play;
- provide gameplay continuity, economic simulation, and chronicle features;
- prevent abuse, fraud, exploits, and unauthorized access;
- respond to support requests and operational incidents;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use;
- understand product performance through limited analytics and diagnostics.
We do not use your data to offer securities, investment advice, or guaranteed financial outcomes.
5. LEGAL BASIS AND CONSENT
By using the Platform, connecting a wallet, creating an account, or interacting with gameplay systems, you consent to the processing of data described in this Policy where permitted by applicable law.
Where required by law (including in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom), Wardenseed relies on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Consent - where you affirmatively agree (for example, terms acceptance or optional communications);
- Performance of a contract - to provide the services you request;
- Legitimate interests - to secure, improve, and operate the Platform in a manner users reasonably expect;
- Fraud prevention and security - to protect users, infrastructure, and economic integrity;
- Legal compliance - where processing is necessary to meet applicable legal requirements.
You may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, but withdrawal may limit or prevent use of features that require the relevant data.
6. COOKIES AND ANALYTICS
Wardenseed may use cookies, local storage, analytics systems, crash diagnostics, and similar technologies to:
- maintain sessions and authentication state;
- remember interface preferences;
- improve gameplay reliability and API performance;
- measure product usage patterns in aggregate;
- detect abuse, bots, and anomalous activity.
Users may disable certain browser storage features through browser settings. Some Platform functionality may not operate correctly if essential cookies or local storage are blocked.
For additional detail, see our Cookie Policy.
7. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Wardenseed may use third-party providers for infrastructure, analytics, authentication, wallet connectivity, customer support, cloud hosting, blockchain indexing, RPC access, and security monitoring.
These providers may process limited technical or account-related data as necessary to provide their services under their own privacy practices.
Wardenseed does not control third-party privacy practices outside its own systems. You should review policies of wallet extensions, RPC providers, block explorers, and marketplaces you use in connection with the Platform.
8. INTERNATIONAL DATA PROCESSING
Because blockchain networks and cloud infrastructure are globally distributed, data may be processed or stored in multiple jurisdictions, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your country of residence.
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in such jurisdictions as needed to operate Wardenseed.
Where required, we implement appropriate safeguards intended to protect cross-border transfers consistent with applicable law.
9. RETENTION
We aim to retain personal and operational data only for as long as necessary for:
- providing the Platform;
- security, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution;
- legal, tax, and regulatory compliance;
- enforcing our agreements.
Deletion of off-chain account data does not delete public blockchain records or third-party indexer copies.
9.1 Data retention matrix (indicative)
Actual periods may vary based on legal holds, active investigations, and operational needs.
| Data category | Typical retention | Notes | |---------------|-------------------|--------| | Authentication and session logs | up to 90 days | Security, session continuity | | Terms and legal acceptance records | duration of account + legal hold | Includes version hashes and request metadata | | Gameplay and ledger state | while account is active | Deleted or anonymized on verified deletion requests where feasible | | Support tickets | up to 1 year | If you contact support voluntarily | | Abuse, fraud, and exploit investigation logs | up to 2 years | May extend for active incidents | | Aggregated analytics | indefinite in aggregate form | No aggressive individual ad profiles |
9.2 Abuse and security incidents
Wardenseed may investigate abuse, fraud, exploits, sanctions violations, wallet-linked misconduct, and security incidents using operational logs, on-chain public data, and account metadata where permitted by law and this Policy.
We may preserve or disclose information when required to protect users, secure infrastructure, respond to lawful requests, or enforce our Terms of Use.
10. SECURITY DISCLAIMER
While Wardenseed takes reasonable measures intended to protect Platform data and infrastructure, no system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Users acknowledge that blockchain systems, internet infrastructure, wallets, devices, and online services inherently involve cybersecurity risks, including unauthorized access, phishing, malware, and key compromise.
You are responsible for safeguarding wallet keys, seed phrases, and device security. Wardenseed will never ask for your seed phrase or private keys.
11. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- access personal data we hold about you;
- request correction of inaccurate data;
- request deletion of off-chain data where technically and legally possible;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- request portability of data you provided in structured form where applicable;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (for example, in the EU/EEA).
To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below. We may need to verify wallet or account ownership before fulfilling requests.
Export and deletion: Where technically possible, users may request account export or deletion through support. Deletion does not remove public blockchain records, legal retention obligations, or data held independently by third parties.
12. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Platform is not intended for individuals under the age of 18 (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher).
Wardenseed does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete such off-chain information where appropriate.
13. POLICY UPDATES
Wardenseed may update this Privacy Policy periodically.
When we make material changes, we may post the revised Policy on the Platform with an updated effective date. Continued use of the Platform after updates become effective constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Policy.
If changes materially affect how we process personal data, we may provide additional notice where required by law.
